Tickets are $20 to $23 pre-sale (or cash/Venmo at the door)

**There is limited capacity at EBCS, and we often sell out, so it is highly recommended to get advance tickets!

**East Bay Community Dance is a “vaccinated plus” event. This means that you must have received the second shot of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines or one shot of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine at least two weeks before you attend. In addition, you must have either received a booster or you have already had a case of covid and be testing negative. (Recent research indicates that vaccination + booster and vaccination+ covid offer approximately the same level of protection from severe disease.)

There are three ways to show your vaccination status:

1. Bring your completed vaccination card to the dance.

2. Go to https://myvaccinerecord.cdph.ca.gov to get an electronic version of your vaccination record, and show it at the door. You might want to save a screenshot of the record your receive on your phone.

3. Upload a photo of your vaccination card via our Vaccination Record Upload Form at https://forms.gle/2NaXSvNrx3Vr9JU37.

Once we have reviewed your card, we will add your name to our list of dancers who have been vaccinated, so you will longer need to show proof of vaccination status at the door.

People who are unable to show proof of vaccination will not be admitted.

Please do not attend EBCD if you have any symptoms that could be related to Covid-19, including cough, runny nose, congestion, fever, chills, aches or nausea… even if these symptoms are mild.

We look forward to dancing with you!

Nurse Noise

Nurse Noise (SteadyDJs, 3 Degrees) is a DJ specializing in booty-shaking, bass-heavy, good-time feeling beats. She believes the attitude behind the decks is just as important as the music selection and mixing.

Bay area native and avid music head, played multiple musical instruments (bass, trumpet, keyboard, synths, and sampling and distorting any thing that made a sound), played in several bands (punk, electronic, and noise) and was a disc jockey at college radio stations (KUSF, KSCU) for ~10 years. Nurse Noise, aka Lee-Anne, found her way into mixing beats as a logical next step to sharing her love of music with her friends.

**Guidelines
· EBCD will Continue.

We will hold East Bay Community Dance this Tuesday and in future weeks as long as conditions don’t worsen significantly and Alameda County doesn’t change its regulations and guidance.

· Events are Potentially Risky.

We believe everyone attending should be aware that large gatherings like EBCD are not without risk.  Attendance is a choice.  Mask-wearing is optional, but encouraged if it helps you to feel safer.

· Cases Among the Vaccinated are Generally Mild.

Cases being spread among vaccinated people with normal immune systems are generally very mild, which is why we feel it’s okay to hold the dance. However, even a mild case of covid requires 10 days of isolation, and Covid can be passed to unvaccinated and immunocompromised people with serious consequences. So every attendee at EBCD should evaluate the risks for themselves.

· Refunds

If you don’t think you are going to be able to come, please don’t buy a ticket!  We often sell out, so it is possible to sell your ticket on the Facebook event page the day of usually.  We do offer limited refunds for those who cannot come because of a Covid infection or exposure.  Message us at ebcommunityspace@gmail.com.  You MUST let us know by 12pm Tuesday day of.  After that, there are NO refunds.

· Stay Home if You’re Even Slightly Sick.

Please do not attend EBCD if you have any symptoms that could be related to Covid-19, including cough, runny nose, congestion, fever, chills, aches or nausea.

WELCOME TO EBCS!

East Bay Community Space is a beautiful and inclusive venue available for public and private events, co-working, and community building.

The Main Space is ideal for performances, meetings, workshops, film screenings, and celebrations such as birthdays, baby showers, anniversaries, and wedding receptions.

The Telegraph Room works well for similar events in a more intimate setting.

The Meeting Room is an ideal space for meditation, yoga practice, bodywork/treatment sessions, and smaller group meetings.

The Co-Working Space provides an affordable alternative for artists, activists, writers, entrepreneurs, and telecommuters looking for a comfortable and inclusive work space.

We also have unstructured periods when the space is open to everyone, under the guidance of a volunteer host. We call this Open Time. During these times, the Main Space is available for dance, personal yoga practice, or hanging out. Please contact us if you’d like to host Open Time, or if you’d like to volunteer.

The space is fully permitted, accessible, and built to modern codes. We have a wheelchair lift serving our second floor spaces, ADA-compliant access and all-gender restrooms. We are a scent-free and chemical-free environment.

We have created the Community Space in cooperation with others who share our vision of community. We hope you’ll join us!
